At the end of an assessment, we’ll provide an in-depth report and/or diagnostic letter as needed.

We also offer strength-based intervention tailored to your needs using a variety of strategies, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, executive functioning training, and parent coaching. Each person comes to us with unique experiences, strengths, and challenges, and we honour those as we work together toward growth, change, and development.

Psychological services with a registered psychologist $230/hour.

Communication is essential. What children understand (receptive language) and what they’re able to say (expressive language) are important tools that help children make sense of the world around them.

Some children need support with the sounds of speech (articulation). Understanding — and being understood — are both critical parts of language and communication. Our speech and language pathologists help develop strategies for communication, allowing children to better express themselves.

Often, people need extra support developing literacy skills. Our literacy specialists provide individual support in the areas of reading, writing, and spelling. We’ll work with students and caregivers to pinpoint key areas for development and help improve academic outcomes.

Learning to read and spell often requires direct, systematic instruction. Our tutors are trained in the Orton Gillingham approach. It’s a direct, explicit, multi-sensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling don’t come easily.

One-on-one literacy intervention with literacy specialist $85 plus GST/45 minute session.

One-on-one literacy intervention with registered psychologist $115/45 minute.

The goal of occupational therapy is to help people increase their independence across a variety of meaningful daily activities. Our occupational therapist will look at fine and gross motor skills, executive functioning, sensory processing, self-regulation, as well as environmental factors that may contribute to difficulties in daily life. Our occupational therapist will create individualized goals and strategies, as well as coach families in the following skill daily activities:

1) School related skills: pre-printing/printing, keyboarding, fine motor, crafting/building, play skills, organizational skills
2) Self-care and independent living skills: dressing, mealtime/feeding, toileting, hygiene (toothbrushing, haircuts, bathing, etc.), chores

Elysha is a registered speech-language pathologist. She obtained her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta in 2016. Elysha has experience in both assessment and treatment of various speech, language, and communication needs. Her areas of interest include pronunciation of sounds, literacy, vocabulary development, early language development, grammar, telling stories and giving more complex information, understanding spoken language, and social language. She specializes in working with children from 2 to 12 years old, and also enjoys working with older and younger clients.

Elysha develops individualized programming for each of her clients, based on their strengths and areas of interest. She collaborates with families and with other professionals to ensure that programming is well suited to each client. Engagement and motivation are key factors in learning, and Elysha strives to make each therapy session engaging and fun. Her clients often look forward to therapy sessions.

Elysha speaks French fluently, and obtained her Certificate in Francophone Practice (Certificat d’études supérieures spécialisées d’orthophonie en milieu francophone) from the University of Alberta (2016). She has a Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Calgary (2012), and studied French Literature for one year at the Université Francois Rabelais in Tours, France. She worked for one year as an English instructor at the Université de Bourgogne in Dijon, France.

Megan earned her Master of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary in 2022. She has over ten years experience providing behaviour interventions for children and youth with ADHD and autism spectrum disorder. She has worked in both school and clinical settings, providing supports to diverse learners. She has a passion for assessing and implementing interventions for children with learning disabilities.

Megan has training in the Orton-Gillingham Approach and provides intervention/tutoring to children who need extra support in their literacy development. Megan explains strategies in concrete, simple, and interactive ways which makes gaining skills that much more fun!

Dr. Keoma is a registered psychologist and mom of two school-aged kids. She has a reputation for being able to work well with children, youth, and young adults presenting with unique challenges. Dr. Keoma brings years of clinical, research, and teaching experience to Briovi. She has expertise in working with preschoolers, children, youth, and young adults and their families from diverse backgrounds. Using an evidence-based approach, Dr. Keoma delivers assessments, consultations, and treatments that are comprehensive, strength-focused, and often multidisciplinary. She has expertise in cognitive-behavioural therapy.

In addition, Dr. Keoma is trained in the gold-standard assessment tools for autism spectrum disorder, trauma informed practices, and the Orton-Gillingham Approach. She also has background in the science of reading, gender-affirming care, and school-based assessment, consultation, and intervention.

Dr. Keoma’s warm, welcoming, and supportive nature helps her connect with almost anyone who walks through the door. Collaborating with families, she uses a strength-based approach to address challenges and develop creative approaches that are tailored to the needs of her clients.

When she’s not working directly with clients, Dr. Keoma often gives talks and leads workshops in the community on topics like developing early literacy skills, parenting, childhood anxiety, trauma, and autism spectrum disorder. She’s also an adjunct instructor at the University of Calgary in their School and Applied Psychology program. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, hiking, listening to podcasts, and cooking.
